{Parenthood} Four Weeks with Three Pods

Dear Pottery Barn - Thanks for making a great chair...

Week 1- Daytime feeding and reading with daddy.

Week 2 - Nighttime feeding with Momma.

Week 2 - Cleared to do a little walking. Out and about with the entire family.
Yes, that jacket is for real in June.

Week 3 - Cleared to walk we decided to participate in the American Heart Association's Heart Walk. Did we end up making it? Nope. Here is our team picture. We promise we had good intentions.

Week 3 - We have been blessed with many many visitors. One being Kenny's sister and her family. The Pod cousins meet.

Week 3 - Bathtime. What I like to label one of the scariest times first weeks of parenthood. They are so dang slippery! He discovered the mirror and it helped keep him calm.

Week 4 - Here we are. I have lost all of my baby weight plus 6 lbs. However, my body shape is still wacky. Oh well, it is a good start as I am still healing.

If you forgot how big I was...here you go. This was me, week 41.

Pretty sure that concerned look was captured after thinking, "Am I going to be pregnant forever?"

Back to the weeks...

Week 4 - Charlie has turned into a different dog. He is now, Hutch's dog. Not mine, not Kenny's, but ALL Ethan's. Just how close are they you ask?!?!.... (wait for it...)

They have their own secret handshake. Take that Snoopy.
You and Charlie Brown ain't got nothing on this duo.

We haven't only closed the first pregnancy chapter of our lives - this quilt signifies another closure.

When my mother was alive, she wanted to make me a t-shirt quilt of my collegiate social sorority. There were many many great memories and tons of shirts. My mother began to cut and prepare them for a massive quilt. When her cancer took a turn, the quilting stopped. She asked that I finish it. Not knowing a dang thing about quilting, I turned to the professionals. Campus Quilts helped me get this complete. Although it is smaller than originally planned, it is finished and it feels great. I love that our Fighting for a Cure shirt is in the middle. It makes it that much more special! Thanks mom for starting this and thank you Kenny for gifting this completed quilt to me. It makes my heart smile.

Stay posted for more heart smiles in the weeks to come.
For now, this should warm you right up.
