A New Kind of Vegas
You know, the sober kind.
Kenny's parents were kind enough to take Hutch for the entire duration of our vacation. They were excited to have him for a week. We didn't know what to do with ourselves.
However, during this trip, we vowed to do as much new as possible. Of course we fell back on a few old favorites but, that is expected. The weather didn't drop below 100 during the day and 80's at night. It was perfect weather to feed our faces, and walk 10 miles a day - I didn't gain a pound!
I will spare you the 5 days/4 nights of endless details.
Here are our highlights of our Hutch-free Las Vegas Vacation:
We had about 3.5 hours of sleep before having to get up and rush pack, check out, get food, hit up one last slot, and head to the airport. It was rough but worth every second. This was the shortened version. Hope you enjoyed. There were lots of pics of KP and I because it was all about us being together.
Of course, after a couple long nights, we would get sappy and watch videos of Hutch on our phones. Talk about how he was so great and how blessed we were. Also, if you noticed, there were quite a few breaks in the photos. We made sure to make room for naps. That's right. NAPS ON VACATION - and they were glorious!
Let me talk for a minute about Garth Brooks. The real reason I wanted to go to this performance was his music. I was never a huge fan but being from Oklahoma, it is ingrained in you. We grew up knowing his music. It takes me back to the good ol' days. Mom was there. We lived in Guymon. We would be in the tee pee or out at the Hitch Ranch. I cried during some of the songs. I was THAT girl. But on top of that, if you appreciate music of any kind, you would love this performance. He talks about how he got his sound and who and what songs inspired him. He played his own and others music. AND he was funny. All that and a bag of Doritos. Worth every cent. Please go see it if you have the chance.
Thanks again to everyone who gave their input about fun new places. Especially to my bestie Lauren and Katie who supplied a couple of the hot dresses I wore. I was just happy to get to see Gant everyday we were there and run into Jamie and Michelle as they celebrated her upcoming wedding. I miss you all already!
Until next time Vegas.
