I miss traveling. I miss baseball.
To compensate, on this wild Saturday night, I intentionally Googled, “Movies Filmed in Boston.”
For the first time, I watched Fever Pitch. Win, win, win; a love story, a baseball movie and filmed in one of my favorite US cities. How could I have missed this baseball flick when I will watch a baseball movie any night of the week and sometimes the same one over and over? I digressed.

Anyway, it took me back to my work trip to Boston in 2018 when my girl Alison and I hit up a ballgame our last night - but not without a field tour first. That’s when it happened. The ultimate baseball payoff.

Yes, I do travel with a baseball and a sharpie with me almost at all times. Thanks Bogaerts and Devers, for making my year, and my sons future day when he understands his momma hijacked two pretty impressive signatures on a clean ball. I’ll just go ahead and take the credit for the Red Sox 2018 World Series - even if it means I’ll have one not-impressed husband. Gosh, I love baseball.
Boston is magic and Fenway, whether you like the team that operates there or not, is pure baseball. It’s history. It’s one of my favorite places in the world.
And when the world opens up again, I’m looking forward to taking Kenny and the boys there - because for the first time in our relationship, I did something baseball related before my baseball loving husband.
Man, I love baseball and Boston. (Go Cardinals!!)

I should mention, it wasn’t ALL perfect. During my INBOUND conference, I was in the front row in a room of 30 people listening to Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod) speak to his businesses, balancing work and life and driving with passion. Ball and sharpie in bag, 3rd in line - and they pulled him after two signatures. He looked so sad for me, I’m sure my face said it all, and he said he was sorry as they pulled him away.

It was still a pretty AMAZING moment. A-Rod talked to me even if it was a sorry, you’re a loser this time situation. Haha!!!
