Benjamin: The Apple of my Eye

My sister, Samantha called and told me that my nephew Benjamin was chosen as the teacher's "Apple of My Eye" child, meaning he would get a large paper cut out of an apple to decorate with his favorite things. He chose the Wii, trucks, balloons, iPod Touch and of course all of the family dogs. Samantha said she asked if he wanted to paste any photos to his apple and handed him a large group of photos to go through. He sorted them and handed her a stack. They were all of his favorite Aun-T. When she asked if he wanted any one else, he said, no. She said, no one? He said "Ugh, I guess- You and Kenny." He ended up with a picture of us and Dad and Cinda from our wedding, and a picture of his Grandma Lili and Samantha. The whole story just melted me. It was the first time he has expressed that he loves me as much as I love him! What a truly awesome feeling!!
