It was great to see the town pull together for this and Team Kaci!
Me and the Clydesdale's - well, kinda...
Delgado's name at Autograph Rock. Carved in the middle 1800's. Nuts!

Kenny sitting in the exact location where the only continental state has ever been bombed. Boise City, Oklahoma 1943

Hangin' out on the Sante Fe Trail.
On Wednesday we headed south to the largest (and best I would say) city in the panhandle of Oklahoma; Guymon, America. We stayed the night in Kansas City at the B&B and continued for 7 more hours. We stopped to see the progress in Greensburg, the small Kansas town that was destroyed by a tornado just three years ago. It was refreshing to see all the work they had done! When we arrived in Guymon, KC & Denise were planning a party for their neighbor’s 60th birthday bash and there was much to do. After helping, we headed off to have a drink with a friend.
While on our 10 hour excursion, we somehow got the idea to take a mini road trip to fabulous Black Mesa, Autograph Rock, Santa Fe Trail, Kenton and Boise City on Friday. It took all day and when we arrived back at the house, it was time to shower and get ready for the famous beans, beer and burgers and Bob’s. It’s the best way to kick off Pioneer Days weekend… It was great to see old friends! Sorry, if we didn’t get to talk…it can be a madhouse!!
Saturday was rough - parade and partied all day, got to squeeze in a couple naps, loved on The Boring kiddos and went to a BBQ with several friends from High School. Wish we had more time!

We turned in relatively early and as the thought of our drive home was weighing in our minds. At 9:00 we were off. We made it to Wichita by 1 and had lunch with Dad, Cinda and Unkie Brad. Then we were off again. We rolled into KC by 6. Picked up the dogs, exchanged some chit chat with the fam and headed north. Final destination arrival time: 10:30pm. It was a long trip but worth every minute of it.
Enjoy the pics!
