Dog'gone Cute
I was asked by the CEO of our company to help with a fundraiser for our JDRF ambassador child from 2009. Breah, now a cute little 6 year old, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes a couple years back and had a seizure the other day. Her parents, afraid she may never wake up, called for our help. They were looking to purchase a diabetes service dog. The cost - let me spell it out...
EIGHTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS.
I obliged.
I lead the operations to organize a several days of events. Jeans days, a breakfast, and a raffle.
With the help of many, I am proud to call the day a success and the single most rewarding day of my corporate career.

| My heart mended this day. |
After looking at her mother's reaction, I could no longer keep my own tears in. I say a true Christian is the type that does good things and doesn't expect a thank you. On this day, I had to share, not because I did anything...but because several people stepped up to the plate. It goes to show there is still good in the world. Breah has become a part of our family at HMA, and soon, Chase Murphy (the chocolate lab service) will be a part of hers. Thank you Hippler family for choosing us to help you. I think we all needed it.
