No{t so much} Sugar November

On my quest to becoming a healthier individual, I have altered my diet to minimize my salt intake. But did you know, most dark chocolate has ZERO, NADA, ZILCH sodium? Unfortunately, I did. What does that mean? Well, it means my lovely one square of DC per day has turned in to a serving or two.

After the disaster (said with a chocolate stained face) of Halloween had passed, I made a deal with my friend we would start to walk more at lunch and partake in no-so-much-sugar November.

In a nutshell, here is how it is going.

Nov. 1 - Had to finish that Halloween Candy. Will start day two.
Nov. 2,3,4 - Good days, only one taste of DC.
Nov. 5 - What was my goal again?
Nov. 6-8 - Doing a pretty good job of staying out of the treat cabinet at work and the freezer at home. Dang you DC.
Nov. 9,10,11 - P. M. S. - I dare you to try to take away my DC today.
Nov. 12,13 - Did good this weekend!
Nov. 14 and today - Extra walk outside at lunch yesterday. Only one treat today. Whew.

I have given up practically everything I can to make sure I adhere to my low sodium needs. I have given up some of my favorite foods and basically anything but water to drink. So I won't lie and say, heck ya, I will give up dark chocolate. I will just cut back because I am determined to reach my weight loss goal by my 31st birthday.

I seem to be right on track. With only 9lbs to go and 3 weeks remaining, I have this in the bag.

Before too long, I will be that high-wasted pant wearing, mini-van rockin', baby-on-my-hip hot momma that I always imagined I would be. EXCEPT with regular pants and no mini-van (yet).

Wish me luck! I am going to need it to stay away from my arch nemesis DARK CHOCOLATE.
