Reproducing Memories
I have recently seen several people recreating a childhood memory that had been captured in a photo. While I was with my family this week, I thought it would be hilarious for my sister and cousin to do the same. The first photo we took was in 1986 while we were visiting our grandparents in Hays, Kansas. They had been grilling out for several friends and we decided to make a buck. We sold lava rocks to their friends as they came in the door. We each made $10 and this photo was how we chose to display our earnings.
The reproduction happened the day we said goodbye to our Grandpa Kathol. We all went back to the house and we looking though pictures when this idea came to light. We didn't have the photo on hand, so we did the best at remembering what we were supposed to do. I think we did alright under the circumstances.
Isn't family great?!
