Chicag- oh oh, oh oh, oh oh omgosh!

Can't say I really have a favorite thing about Chicago, Illinois. It was all fabulous. The best part was who came out to spend our vacation with us! Thank you to all of our siblings, friends and family for making our trip beyond memorable! (And the locals for being our tour guides!)



I should start by saying we drove because we are only 5 hours from the city. I drove the entire way as Kenny had just got off working at 6am (we left at 8). As we rolled into town the skyline was not what I was expecting. But then again, I was focused on not getting rammed on the freeway! There was a lot going on...



So what did we do, you ask?



We went shopping on State and Michigan Avenue, stayed in wonderful hotel, walked forever, rode the subway, went to see the Cardinals play the Cubbies at Wrigley, met Vince Vaughn and Delroy Lindo, stood in the rain, squeezed 6 people in the back of a taxi cab in Wrigleyville, toured Navy Pier, ate Chicago style pizza and hot dogs, went bar hopping every night, took an architecture cruise, went to the world famous Billy Goat Tavern Belushi made famous on the old SNL, got to see Transformers 3 being filmed and played on the set, and finally, went to Kenny's Grandparents house to see where his family was raised- all in the matter of 3.5 days. Whew! It was an awesome whirlwind experience.
