5) Any bench on the fairgrounds allows for ample people watching.

4) The smell of the livestock barns reminds me (Tabatha) of home and duh, the World Famous Butter Cow.

3) There are a wide array of concerts, free and almost free.

2) It's the only place where you can lose 15 lbs from the heat and then gain it right back because of the food.

1) You would not be able to join in any of the conversations that start with, "Did you see that...at the Fair...?" for the entire year. In turn, being shunned by all Iowans.
