Flooded with a week of friends!

As many of you have seen on the news, Iowa has been hit hard with flooding issues. Kenny has worked nearly 30 hours of overtime and we both were neglecting our sleeping routines to either work or worry about the other. Fortunately, we were blessed with good company and new memories to grind down the thoughts of sleepless nights and leaky basements.

One of Kenny's best buddies drove through Des Moines just to see him and play disc golf! I made them take a photo for me and as you can tell, the humidity and heat was almost unbearable!

As for me, I was lucky enough to spend some time with bride-to-be, Alicia, during her bachelorette party!

To end the week, we had dinner with Lisa, Tim and their little darling girl Alyssa. Wish we would have thought to snap a photog. Oh well, it happened, I promise! :)

We are both very grateful for the bonds we share with our friends! "They say" friends are the family you get to choose, thank you for choosing us too!
