This brilliant idea entered my head while stirring in bed, wide awake around 3:15 a.m. I wanted to make something with paper for Hutch's room but I didn't want it to be a framed card or something entirely too nerdy. (Just kinda nerdy)

Circles have always been my favorite shape and are seen in many of my card designs. I like circles so much, that I was adamant on having everything circular in our wedding as part of our design. I love what they represent to me: everlasting continuity. I decided to start with that.

Today at lunch I jumped on it, eager to get this project made. It started with 5 pieces of cardstock paper that matched Easy-E's color scheme, a circle punch and a 12X12 espresso frame.

It ended with this...

As I mentioned in my previous blog, Diary of a Pregnant Girl, Lust vs Must Vol. 2,
I wanted to make these super easy wall hangings for Hutch's as well. Last night, I picked up some contemporary fabric from this neat little quilting shop in Urbandale. However, while I was at the craft store today I picked up the goods I needed to complete the cross-stitch hoop designs.
I started with 4 different kinds of fabric.
I believe these are all Mode brand, but don't quote me on that.

I purchased a complementary paint color, which I like to call Rorange (Red Orange), a foam painting brush, and four hoops.

Simply paint the hoops and let dry.
Then, place the fabric around the hoop, secure, trim and presto...
You are done.

Don't let the vivid pictures distract you. Both of these projects match each other nicely.
I can't wait to start hanging!

The entire project took 1.5 hours and a whoppin' $30.
