Raining Down

March and April showers bring May Hutch!

This weekend we celebrated Ethan with his first shower in Kansas City. Friends and family gathered at my SIL's house, ate deliciously famous Oklahoma Joe's BBQ and showered little Ethan with gifts of love and beyond! We were humbled by the appearance of friends and family from Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma. Not to forget those who send in well wishes from Colorado, Georgia, Wisconsin, Arizona, Illinois, Indiana and Nebraska (again).

Our sisters and friends had their kiddos there and it was great to see them all playing together - I can't believe how big they are all growing!

We almost had to rent a UHaul to get everything home. Diapers, car seat, extra base, stroller, clothes, bibs and blankets - we are so blessed!

I know I had mentioned before that I absolutely love and appreciate handmade and creative baby stuff. We not only received a quilt, dog, and bibs made by KP's mom, we got a Nahnee, made by KP's Auntie Angie, handmade stuffed toys from Becky (MIZZOU and OSU colors) and a quilt Kenny's great grandmother made for him in 1976.

My sister Samantha also got creative and had some awesome onesies made for Hutch.
Read them closely, they are just adorable.

And she and Ben also put together a box of baby cupcakes (rolled gowns and burp clothes with a washcloth center) in a cute box!

Speaking of vintage (1976 tee hee), Kenny's mom saved some of his favorite shirts, a football penny bank, bubble gum dispenser and a cute sign for Hutch's room.

Thanks again to those who came, those who called, left us messages and were just thinking of us! We had an amazing time and cannot wait until the day we are luggin' the little man in our arms, on our hip and eventually on our shoulders to go visit each and every one of you!

For those who asked, we are having a shower in Oklahoma City in August.
Ethan will be almost 3 months old and ready for his first ever road trip to momma's home in the south.
