Whatta Week, Whatta Mighty Good Week...

Is it April already?

We can officially say that next month, I will be having baby. I won’t lie. The first time I thought about that, my palms got sweaty and there was a little fear in my eyes. My brain started to fill with thoughts like, ‘Am I ready”, ‘Is he ready’, ‘What in the world am I going to do with these dogs’.

But I didn’t let it stop me. I yanked on my maternity pants, which are fitting quite nicely now and got to work preparing more than ever.

Here we are - week 32.

My sweet baby is starting to feel as heavy as a pumpkin!

As I have mentioned several times before, as I round third base, there are many many wonderful things going on to help me get past the last 7ish weeks of pregnancy.

The first was our final 3/4D ultrasound- the tech insisted on us coming back to get a full face shot of Hutch.

Quite amazing what they can do with technology these days, eh?

The champ is weighing in at 4lbs 8oz folks. And mommy is feeling the 10 total pounds she has put on already.

He even cracked a smile for us. Kiley, this one is for you! (It was probably gas but I think it is cute!)

If you are in Des Moines, and want one of these. the tech was fantastic at Prenatal Vision. She made this pregnancy experience that much more enjoyable.

Next, a few of my lady friends had a work shower in celebration of Hutch’s coming! Not only did people forego their lunch breaks to be there, they showered him with wonderful gifts and boosted my spirits! Thank you, it was perfect.

My hostesses with the mostesses.
Thank you for making us feel so special!

If you were wondering where daddy has been through all of this, well, KP had a severe weather conference this week in Ankeny, IA. He not only was able to learn about recent weather events that had happened all around the country, he got to hold the record hail stone mold (pictured below, smaller than actual size) and meet his mentor professor from college out for drinks at the Royal Mile one night. (We failed to take a photo of that one. Blame it on the baby brain.)

Oh Hail yes.

Friday, our Activities Committee, which I am a part of at work, hosted a March Madness party for the company. It was a great time even watching everyone have fun.

Just setting up.
Didn't want to use pics of the actual party with out each person's permission.

Finally, we prepared our house in celebration National Autism Month and lit it up in blue.

We can’t wait to see what next week has in store!

Stay tuned.
