0. The Tabbie and the Hair: Part 7

The day has come two friends and I to make a huge cut in the name of charity. It has been a day of emotions. Every hour or so, you could hear one of us let out a quiet, "Eeek" as the time crept closer to noon.

{the look}
The Clean Sweep
Natural locks, deep side part, dark eyes. (Nothing stops you from crying like a ton of eye makeup.)

{makeup}
Bare Minerals Foundation. Warmth. Minearl Veil. MAC Dainty Cheeks. EYES: MAC Orb all over, Wedge in the crease and full coverage of MAC Folie over the lid. Three wands of mascara. LIPS: Cliniqe Mango Tango Lip Gloss.

{Clothing}
I needed to go super sassy to give me the courage to get my new do. Leopard print tank dress from Von Maur, Tan Belt (F21) and nudeish/tan high heels from Franco Sarto. Black, jewel button cardigan from White House, Black Market to keep me warm in my freezing cold office.

Last day with long hair...

The day has come!

Ashley, Tab, and Jenni. The Participants.

WYSIWYG.

Mugshots.
We headed to Sahar's Day Spa where three gals were waiting for us to take over the salon. My stylist, Emily B, was most amazing as always.

Tab's three ponies full of love.

Ashley had Jessica. She was cautious, and Ash was pleased.

Ash's one chop on, one chop off.
 Brownie locks, Jenni, had Jenny. Fitting right. She gave her the "go as short as you wish" in the end leaving Jenni with a little more hair than she expected.

Jenni's four tails to top it off.

The "Three Non-Bobs" as my friend Steph put it.
Here we are!!!

8 + 10 + 16

Pivot!

To the back.

And it's off!! Off our head, and off to Florida.
I wish we could see the person's face light up when they get their new wig, but for now, I can only relive in the memory of my mom and her excitement. Momma, thanks for giving me the courage and motivation. Thanks Sahar's for making it so easy over our lunch hour. Thank you Jenni and Ash for participating in honor of Gina D. at Creative Risk Solutions that valiantly lost her batter with cancer earlier this year.  And thank you readers of this blog for following the past week as I tried something new.

{information}
I know I said today was an emotional day, I thought about mom a ton and a slue of other events unravelled. Here's the news:

We are creeping closer to a huge event at work. My plate is full and my time is low. I am treading water to stay afloat. Got to love a challenge though.

My grandpa is doing great. Off the vent and in his own room. He got to sit up in a chair. Can't wait to see him progress.

It is a little too soon to go into details, but we need some serious prayers sent to Colorado. Kenny's uncle had an accident and is not doing well at all. We ask you to pray for Auntie Marlene,  Marley and Beau during this most difficult time.

We plan to head West within the next few days or so once we get more information.

We will focus on the positive, and just as we did today, realize the importance of donation. No matter what it may be.

XOXO Tabbie

  1. You look beautiful as I knew you would. Your mom would be so proud. Those wigs kept her feeling like she was beautiful (as she always was) and gave her courage to be out among people. Love you. You wear it well.
