7 and 6 - The Tabbie and the Hair: Part 1
Slow and steady wins the race, right?
After two years of growing my hair out (and getting numerous cuts in between) I am down to 6 days before I chop for a cause.
I decided to take full advantage of my long locks before I call it cutzies. This pact I made with myself includes trying a new hair and makeup style each day until next Tuesday.
There will be 7 days of do's. (and possibly some don't's as well.) Love it or hate it, that is you choice. I am just sharing how I decide to tame these tresses for the next week.

Glampire. Ya, I wrote that.
Soft natural waves with bold lips and neutral eyes.
{hair}
Towel dry. Spray Unite leave in conditioner all over. Pick it out {only time you "brush" it}. Apply pea size of Aquage smoothing serum only to ends. Air dry.
{makeup}
BASE: I am a MAC girl but in the summer, I prefer Bare Minerals as a base.
Dust of Medium foundation. Warm it up. SPF Mineral Vail. Simple enough?
EYES: Apply thin coat of Soft Ochre MAC Paint Pot to even out eyelid color. Dusting of MAC Orb shadow over entire lid and Wedge in the crease. MAC Dipdown Fluid Line lining only 3/4 top lid. 2 coats mascara.
LIPS: Lined lips with a neutral lip liner I got from Victoria's Secret. The name rubbed off or I would share the color. MAC Russian Red Lipstick and MAC Beaux Lusterglass over the top.
{clothing} Black silk cap sleeved top from Coldwater Creek (you would be surprised what you can find in there!) Charcoal skinny capris from Banana Republic, Red button flats from Target and a heavy red and black stone necklace I received for Christmas 3 years ago. Topped off with my favorite sunnies by Tom Ford.

Oh baby.
Dramatic eyes, nude lips and a quick do for the mom on the go.
{hair}
Wash. Air Dry while applying makeup. Unite leave in all over. Wide tooth comb it. Blow dry with fingers to give natural soft and "fluffy" look. Part down side, back comb for volume, and use a clear hair tie to pull into a side pony.
{makeup}
BASE: Same base as before. MAC Dainty cheeks. EYES: Same paint pot for eyelids. All over MAC Carefree shadow. Lid only: Black Tied shadow by MAC. Blend MAC All That Glitters into crease. Carefree onto brow bone. MAC Black Track Fluid line across the entire tip lid. Revlon black eye pencil on waterline and upper lid line. Two coats mascara of choice. I personally like Avon. LIPS: Brush lips with toothbrush to give fresh, plump look then apply Burt's Bees Wax with SPF.
{clothing}
Navy, yellow, white and orange silk, short sleeved top. White Banana Republic pants. Nude strappy heels by Franco Sarto. (I changed before this couch shot of the side pony. One tired momma!)
Obviously by the quality of my photos, and the not-a-model/giggly, deer-in-headlight poses, I am not trying to be a fashion/beauty blogger. I just really love playing with hair and makeup. Really, if anything at all, this blog will help me remember all those colors I use and love when I go shopping next.
However, if you care to know out of all the things I mentioned, if I could only use one hair product... go with the Unite leave in. It is amazing. I use it both wet and dry. That reminds me, I am out. Guess I will pick some up in 6 days when I get my new hair do did. As for makeup, the one thing I would choose is the MAC Paint Pot. It is so versatile. It not only evens out the lid color giving a neutral playing field to your eyeshadow, it keeps your eyeshadow from moving, especially if you have oily eyelids, it keeps it out of your crease and keeps your eyeliner from transferring to your brow bone!
Goodnight for now. More awesomeness tomorrow. I am sure you can hardly contain your excitement.
